Even the pulsar is superceded now , there is always progression in the bus building industry.

Indeed it has been, and yes there is always progression but I was just saying that in my opinion the pulsar was a poor replacement for the commander and in many different ways. Pulsar lovers of course would be to differ, be interesting to try out he pulsar replacement at some stage.

I completely agree that the Commanders are fantastic buses with excellent ride quality and I've heard nothing but positive comments about them from drivers. I also agree with MPTE that the Pulsar was a poor replacement for the Commander - and I think the Commanders are better looking too. They were certainly the best buses at Green Lane for a number of years and it's a shame to see them go

There was no progression in my eyes between the Commander and Pulsar knowing Southport rarely use Pulsars on the 375/385 is a reason i use it a lot more than the 352 lately and it's a shame when you compare Pulsars to Meridians Solars and Eclipses there definitely the runt of the litter in terms of power comfort and performance luckily with my gf living on the 360 which see's a lot of commanders these days means i get more chances of rides on them Smile oh there was also a commander on the 329 on Sat i noted it near the HJ

Bring Back Arriva Skelmersdale

2251 is unusually on 320 longs today and 2496 is on 89.
Also worthy noting that 2574 ended up on 10As again last night
