Arriva North West - Bolton Depot

The only route Bolton Depot will be doing at night will be 362 Wigan-Chorley service from what I was told by a friend of mine, seems unfortunate considering how many late turns they used to have and now the only route they will be operating will be one commercial route that doesn't even operate into Bolton area

they do still do 510 daytime and am not to sure whats going on with the 519 as i hear we got one trip each night on it but i cant confirm that

Going off Traveline, Arriva will run the 8.25pm and 9.25pm Sunday journeys on the 519, while the TfGM summer timetable for the 510 has Arriva running all Sunday journeys, which is 10.50am until 8.50pm from Bury and 10.10am until 9.10pm from Bolton.

Arriva Bolton Driver says, from 30th July, Maytree will do all Monday to Friday Evening services. I am aware. They will operate 510 on Sunday and all public holidays.

So sad, really. I think a Arriva are a fantastic company, and show First bus how its done.

I remember on the old forum someone in this topic said Arriva where actively trying to lose evening work i cant remember if he was a driver or not but he said only the 362 paid at Nights... This sounded odd at the time and stuck in my head.

Very odd, and I doubt Arriva management would have agreed with his or her point of view, and it s certainley not the point of view of the driver I know.

I heard that when I worked there,sometimes I worry bout working for arriva they just drop routes when ever they are not making thousands I remember when they stopped the late 575s they took them off coz gmpte would tender them

been informed by driver friend that bolton are to get 5 pulsars from another depot, the age they are expecting does match the ones currently at runcorn and to be moving on
