There's numerous problems with chesters 09 plates too. They're not much liked and as mentioned they overheat easily and drink coolant like no tomorrow. The 05 plates scanias put the volvos to shame, although the scanias are on their final legs too. But most having done over 1million miles so far( roughly 100000 per year) they've done pretty well and its quite understandable! I am no longer active on this forum. |

Christ, and a car with 150k+ is considered high mileage... It's nothing compared to some of these buses lol |

I've heard some interesting speculation lately regarding this partnership on the arriva side. I cannots share what I've been told however. I am no longer active on this forum. |

RE: Stagecoach Chester & Wirral
The problem with the 09 plate Volvos is the heating system. With it being in the roof of the bus, overnight, the coolant drains out of the roof but comes out of the overflow hole, and its not until they have been out on the road for 20-30 mins that then the low coolant warning lights come on. 21275 is the worst for doing it. The heating system must swallow a shed load of it when it gets going. The floor in Chesters depot is pink every morning because of it. |

RE: Stagecoach Chester & Wirral
More than 50,000. Bear in mind the amount of time some of them have swapped garages. X266 USH clocked 1,000,000 miles around 2012/2013. These buses were doing Liverpool to Chester most days in roughly 1hour 30mins. That route is minimum 22miles, i would personally say a couple miles more. Id say 90000 per year. Them 53 plate Volvos were battered. RNW must of made a fortune out of them haha. |

RE: Stagecoach Chester & Wirral
I was going to say it would be more than 50000 given Liverpool-Chester is around 25 miles done in around hour and a half and the same timetable Monday to Saturdays. |
