I suspect there the same 2 Plaxton president deckers I spotted at lunchtime yesterday (Monday) coming off the woodhead pass at Mottram in Tamesde on Tradeplates. Both had registrations starting LR52 if I remember rightly but I was more interested in the destinations which were set for 'Merseytravel Service, Hilbre High' i think the second had the service number '628T'. Presumably these are the same school services that were with Happy Als both under contract then latterly commercially. Interesting that the destinations have been programmed at Dawsons and not with the company themselves. |

The link to 8860 Brians photo shows one of the MMCs at work in Droylsden on the 864 school service which many years ago was operated by Maynes of Manchester, at the time when they themselves had 5 brand new East Lanc Tridents delivered but they always go to great effort to make sure the Tridents didn't work any school services instead using the much older Scania's. Infact it was unheard of to use new or even nearly new buses on school services - how things have changed |

There's a big difference price wise between second hand DDA complient deckers currently for sale with Ensign and brand new MMC Enviro 400's so I very much doubt DDA is a major factor in them buying the MMCs. |
