Prefer the white and battleship grey than Arriva's blue/cream and the interurban liveries.

2241 and 2247 were towed away by PVS from Southport yesterday followed by 2243 and 2248 this morning. The finalDart at Canning Road 2246 should depart on its fateful trip tomorrow.
Can't be many of these batches left in stock now across the company.

Just spotted 2233 I think it was, on a TV series called 'Moving On'. It'll be on BBC iPlayer soon.

Photographic evidence of four dead Darts at PVS scrapyards.

The first three were originally based at Bootle.
Does anyone remember when 2234 (X234 ANC) got Interurban paintwork and new seat fabric?
Well all I can say is they wasted their money LOL
Bye-bye 2234....

Thankfully, Arriva spent less money on 2232 (X232 ANC), then again, it made no difference!
2232 ended its operating days at Bolton.

The ALX200-bodied Darts always reminded me of a dolphin. Think it's something to do with that aquamarine paint, the big round headlamps and the snub-nose. Anyway, this lacks number plates and a fleetnumber, but I'm pretty certain its 2266 (X266 OBN)....

....And if you need proof, look at the markings and compare photos...

And finally, 2256 (X256 HJA) spent most of its life at Wythenshawe, ending its operating life at Canning Road.
2256 meets its end...

Not long now then till their all gone at this rate! They've given good service & most are about 15 years old now on scrapping so quite a young age.

Then again some darts (obviously not this lot) may find homes with preservationists. I went a few years ago to an event at the transport museum in cheetham hill & found myself face to face with an ex first step entrance dart! They are growing in popularity it seems as quite a few people do actually like darts & parts are readily available.

Admittedly it's mainly the step entrance examples that get preserved, always suprised that the east lancs 2000 bodied examples/east lancs spryte weren't saved meself.
