Although I am going to Sheffield soon, I now know to postpone Doncaster until these Enviro200-MMCs are in service. Their 67000 numbers give the game away that they are full-size buses. I was already postponing Rotherham until the tram-train service starts there early next year. |

I visited Doncaster on Monday 13th June and saw 63370/72/74/75/77/78/79/81/83-86 working on local services. A flying visit to Rotherham also produced 63371/80/87. Did not see 63369/73/76/82/88 but some could have been at Rotherham as well. So allocations not quite as expected but I suppose there might be a bit of a shuffle round once all are on the road. |

It looks like it may be true though. I suppose services will be concentrated at Olive Grove & possibly Doncaster. As ever we will have to wait & see. |

I understand that new route X1 now uses the StreetDecks that started out on route X78. I therefore wonder what vehicles route X78 now uses? Volvo B9TLs I would expect. |

RE: First South Yorkshire
The closure of Midland Road depot in Rotherham is not a surprise as it is expensive to maintain being totally roofed and far too large for the number of buses maintained there. Both Doncaster and Olive Grove in Sheffield have space to absorb Rotherhams allocation. Sheffield has space for approx 350 vehicles and has an allocation of about 230. All time rail mileage travelled 327264 miles |
