Hi All,

While this isn't all that old, the many of the initial Joblink services that started in 2003 no longer run so I thought it'd be interesting to try to get some detail on them.

I can't find my old timetable from the time sadly (If I do I'll scan it in) but I've gleaned this bits from the VOSA website!

(I've posted this list incomplete, I'm still adding more as I go!)

HTL Buses

801 Liverpool, Paradise Street Bus Station - Alder Hey Hospital
802 Brunswick Station - Alder Hey Hospital
817 Broadway - Knowsley Ind Estate
821 Stockbridge Village - Prescot, Steley Way
830 Mann Island - PSBS (via Aintree) (Still operated by Cumfybus)
831 Mann Island - PSBS (via Aintree) (Still operated by Cumfybus)

899 Page Moss - Terminus Road (Still Operated by HTL)

Cumfybus

North Liverpool Community Transport (North Liverpool Community Wheels)

832 Runcorn - Runcorn (via Widnes, Liverpool Airport & Garston Station)
883 Huyton Industrial Estate - Liverpool Airport (Still operates between Speke - Huyton by HTL)
884 Halewood, Ravenscourt - Halewood, Ravenscourt (via Ford Factory, Airport & Garston)
885 Halewood, Ravenscourt - Halewood, Ravenscourt (via Ford Factory, Airport & Garston)

North Liverpool Community Transport's services were all operated using two Optare Aleros, YN03 UYG/H in Merseytravel Joblink livery. Once these services ended the two Aleros ended up at Cumfybus!

RE: Merseytravel Joblink
It was funded by a grant from the DTLR Urban Bus Challenge Initiative to start all these services up, at least some survive though, so it wasn't an entirely wasted effort!

Even the 'quiet' afternoon run I saw yesterday with Mercedes Sprinter DK03 CWX on it left Belle Vale bound for the Airport with about 8-9 people on (quite tight for a 12 seat bus!)and must be being kept as that and a few Joblink routes are up for tender renewal in October they must be being used!

RE: Merseytravel Joblink
On a similar note Red Rider operated a Joblink-type service for a while between New Brighton and some industrial park on Deeside. I think it was three round trips a day to coincide with 6-2/2-10 shift changing times, the first journey leaving New Brighton at about 5am. They ran it with a Dart SLF demonstrator for a while.

RE: Merseytravel Joblink
That was route 850 I think, going back in the archives there is a pic of the Dart SLF/Caetano Nimbus demo REL 905 in Red Rider depot with the screen set for the route!

http://dartslf.com/archives/images/20002...dRider.jpg

Not a good pic at all but at least it shows the bus with the screen set correctly! Pic was taken in early December 2000 I think as the bus was eventually re-registered with a W reg plate.

RE: Merseytravel Joblink
Off topic I know, sorry! But what happened to that bus?

Also back on topic, I have a timetable somewhere for the 834/841 (Lea Green-Newton), does anyone know when these two finished?
