I noticed on the excellent 62 plate website a picture of two London Enviro400s. The one was a First vehicle suitably marked but the other was particularly interesting. It had no markings whatsoever but was flagged as a Stagecoach bus. OK but the registration was very interesting. It was EU62AYE, an 'Essex' registration, not sure which specific VLO it is. I do not think Stagecoach have ever had a Ex registered vehicle before. I assume it is for the 103 or 175 at Romford North Street depot and someone has gone for a local Essex reg rather than the hitherto common LX ( there are a few LV and LY but not many ). No doubt someone will prove me wrong on the Ex registration being a first for Stagecoach. |

Well although Stagecoach haven't had an Essex registration since the new system came in, on the old registations they were pretty much all Chelmsford registered. EV (As in V-MEV), NO (as in X-NNO) and HK (Y-NHK) are all Chelmsford marks. |
