RE: Dublin & Ireland
Spent a few hours in Sligo on Saturday afternoon, buswise it has become more interesting over the years.

WM429 & WM410 Markievicz Road, Sligo 3 May 2025 - Two of the town buses which consist of Streetlites and are due to be replaced with EA electric Enviro200s at some stage. Three routes form the town services. WM429 is a recent transfer from Drogheda.

WM427 Markievicz Road, Sligo 3 May 2025 - Another ex Drogheda bus on the latest route - S3.

VB605 Sligo Station 3 May 2025 - Regional services are mostly in the hands of the VB class. the 600 batch don't have a fix home and move about a bit.

242SO49 Markievicz Road, Sligo 3 May 2025 - A new batch of these came last year and have taken over a number of the Local Link routes.

232SO99 Markievicz Road, Sligo 3 May 2025 - This has been cascaded to a quieter route!

241D19902 Sligo Station 3 May 2025 - The other extreme, the concept is a bit lost when a Tourismo is operating the service!

RE: Dublin & Ireland
Hello, I was in Cork last month for the day, plenty to see about the place, always worth a visit.

VWD57 Cork Kent 30 May 2025 - One of the many VWDs in Cork. Cork has an example of every type that BÉ bought.

VWD69 & VWL308 Merchant's Quay 30 May 2025 - The 207A is one of the routes that has to have single deckers due to a low bridge.

MC304 Infirmary Road 30 June 2025 - The Mercs are the other class of single decker on City routes but can wander. However, some of these have started to migrate to Drogheda so may become a rare sight soon.

PAD121 South Mall 30 May 2025

PAD120 St Patrick's St 30 May 2025 - The PADs are relatively recent arrivals from Limerick. As the Limerick fleet is nearly all electric at this stage, the Hybrid PADs have started to move to Cork. Cork only has one garage and space is at a premium, so transfers are not so easy to carry out. So its PADs from Limerick to Cork and MCs to Drogheda. More to happen I suppose. In more positive news, a second depot is currenlty under construction for Cork.

VWD404 Cork Bus Station 30 May 2025 - Paper destination etc. The 31 is way out of sequence with Cork city routes in the 2xx series. This is the first of the new routes under the Cork Bus Connects project and is relatively low key. Bigger chances can take place when the new depot opens.
