Deregulation came about because we had a Government in the 1980s hellbent on abolishing State intervention into industry in the name of free-market Capitalism. It wasn't nice then. It isn't nice now. Reregulation of the buses is the sensible thing to do - pay off the shareholders of these companies, and bring everything back into the public fold to be operated for the public good. However, the chances of this ever coming about are between slim and not a cat's chance in hell. The Beatles, Fountains Of Wayne, XTC, The Who, ELO [font=Impact][/font]
